Upgraded website for the National Demolition Training Group
Today saw the launch of an upgraded website for the National Demolition Training Group. Based in new offices at Hemel Hempstead, the NDTG organises training courses for the industry across the UK.
The site, which can be found at www.ndtg.org, provides a content management system in order that the staff at the organisation can update the site themselves. In addition, there a variety of bespoke modules which are designed to simplify the process of distributing information to the NDTG members. These include modules for courses, the industry card schemes, news, events and membership. The site also offers an email marketing tool, common features to all Web Preference sites: search engine friendly urls and valid mark up and use of CSS throughout for layout and styling.
Sophie Francis, NDTG Training Group Manager, made the following comments:
The NDTG recruited Web Preference and Paul Sawyer to develop the National Demolition Training Group website. We are a training organisation and offer a variety of courses and assessment to the demolition industry.
Our spec was to offer an easy to use website for individuals with a variety of educational backgrounds, some of whom have no computer experience.
Paul Sawyer visited our offices in 2009, to discuss what the NDTG required the website to offer. He was attentive, listened to our needs and was forthcoming with ideas. All qualities you need in a website designer. Both myself and Paul went away feeling confident about our first meeting and I was sure he would deliver, and that he did.
Throughout the following couple of months, Paul and I made regular contact via phone and email. He made the process extremely easy for me and minimised the input I had to give due to my busy work load. He responded very quickly to my emails, and always returned my calls. He understood exactly what I was wanting from the website and ensured that he questioned any discrepancies he had through our communication. He found ways around issues we had with regards to particular company processes and ensure he delivered the highest quality of website.
Once the design stage of the website was complete, Paul contacted me to arrange a conference call to go through the administration of the site. He was extremely patient throughout this end user process and considerate to my concerns. Any concerns were immediately rectified by Paul in a professional manner. Since the implementation of the website, Paul has been at the other end of the phone in all instances and has guided me through any processes needed.
So far the feedback on the website has been positive from our clients, and we hope that the number of people visiting our website increases. It is hoped that the website will minimise the administration work by head office as much information is now readily available on line.
To conclude, I would like to say a big ‘Thank you’ to Paul Sawyer. His skills as a web designer has enhanced the way our company operates and I am confident he will continue to support me with any assistance I require to maintain our new website.
